As an Estimator your will be responsible for reviewing project scope and design plans while developing an accurate and cost effective bill of materials for custom sign manufacturing projects and national programs.
Duties and Expectations:
Prepare competitive, accurate and thorough estimates and bill of materials used for sales, planning and scheduling projects
Communicate with design and sales department on construction methods and solutions. Provide technical and product expertise in pre-sale meetings and over the phone
Communicates estimated materials and methodology with design and production departments
Maintain cost database by entering and backing up data
Augment knowledge by reviewing technical and industry publications
Associate degree in a field related to fabrication, construction, estimating, or similar
Bachelor’s degree in business or field related to the role is desired
2+ yrs. experience in fabrication estimating, production scheduling/planning, scope of work or similar background is desired
Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, engineering drawings and understand bill of materials; must be able to break a design down to a component list
Capable of understanding the production steps and timing associated with each
Demonstrated attention to detail is critical along with outstanding follow up skills
Able to successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Skilled at managing both internal and external sources, collaborating to achieve the needed end result
Computer literacy, electronic filing, and advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Word is required
Experience in project management is a plus
