Pineapple Hospitality Company Pineapple Person in San Diego, California

Pineapple Hospitality is a rapidly expanding boutique hotel management company. We are looking for team members who are all about providing outstanding guest service—this is hospitality after all. We’re fun, a little quirky, and always striving to get better (that’s where you come in). Currently we have eight hotels in four states, with plans to continue growing. If you want to be part of a far-from-stuffy company with lots of opportunities, this may be the place for you.

Who We’re Looking For:

What’s a Pineapple Person? In short, they are our ambassadors to everything awesome. Pineapple People are the first ones to greet our guests so they must be extraordinarily friendly, welcoming and engaging. One of their main tasks is making recommendations to local events, dining, sightseeing, entertainment and things to do in the area. If you aren’t a people person, this isn’t your gig!

What You Bring:

If this isn’t the definition of a fun job, we don’t know what is:

  1. Assist arriving and departing guests with their luggage to and from guest rooms and meeting rooms.

  2. Act as a point of reference for guests that require assistance or information and attend to their wishes and requirements.

  3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sporting events, performing art events, city events, restaurants and other areas that pertain to concierge duties.

  4. Understand customers’ needs and provide them with personalized solutions by suggesting activities and amenities that are provided by the hotel.

Where You’ve Been:

Must have a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid drivers license, be 21+ and have an acceptable driving record. Three to six months of related experience is a plus. But moreover we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop personal relationships with total strangers (easier said than done). You must possess a passion for providing exemplary customer service and the ability to learn quickly and take direction. An unfailingly positive attitude is a must!

When You’re Here:

This is not a job where you sit behind a desk. Be prepared to move around because more than half of the time you will be standing/sitting, carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting, climbing stairs and more. Get ready to play tour guide because, as our driver extraordinaire, you will expertly and safely ferry guests to and from the property in our hotel shuttle. You also must be able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. But wait, there’s a great upside: in exchange for your flexibility we offer excellent pay, hotel discounts, F&B; discounts and the opportunity to be part of an anything-but-standard growing hotel company.
