LabCorp is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist - Integrated Genetics Marketing for its San Diego, CA. location

Summary

Marketing Communications Specialist - Integrated Genetics Marketing

Drives and oversees execution of marketing initiatives and key projects for Integrated Genetics in support of division goals and achievement of annual marketing plan. Supports development of marketing plan; key business partner (with product management) in developing key marketing initiatives; recommends, develops and manages department processes; key contact point with corporate marketing and outside vendors; ensures efficient delivery of marketing communications materials. Owns and maintains Integrated Genetics (IG) brand guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Development, execution, and coordination of core marketing projects as outlined in the annual marketing plans, using assigned business tools such as WorkZone

  • Supports and executes website updates and upgrades, creation of landing pages, marketing content updates, and drives design and development of these projects through outside agencies and CMS updates using Drupal and Craft

  • Ensures brand equity and customer experience across all consumer-facing channels including packaging, digital, and collateral

  • Supports cross-functional teams and activities as needed, interfacing with sales, marketing, clinical, and operations teams by implementing go-to-market activities for product launches

  • Primary contact between Integrated Genetics Marketing and LabCorp Corporate Marketing Services (CMS) for legal review of all marketing items

  • Develops content and emails marketing campaigns using inbound marketing platform (eg Hubspot), as needed

  • Maintains an organized library of graphics materials on Canto (icons, stock photographs design files, etc.)

  • Manages print vendors and supplies warehouse analyzing historical usage and forecasting to appropriately stock materials based on establish quotes and production schedules

  • Analyzes and improves workflow processes and tools when and where needed

  • Monitors and reports project expenses, process invoices and purchase requests

  • Takes the lead on select cross-product line projects to enhance personal development

  • Attend industry seminars, conferences, client visits and internal sales meetings, as needed. Projected travel <15%

Requirements

Minimum Education & Previous Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree i n Marketing, Communications, Business, or related discipline ( experience in healthcare/scientific business preferred)

  • Experience in Diagnostics, Laboratory; Medical Device(s); Pharma; Life Sciences, a plus

  • 3-5 years' experience in marketing, communications or creative agency

  • Experience using Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) programs; experience with CMS and marketing automation platforms (such as HubSpot, Eloqua, Marketo or Pardot; a plus

  • Experience using Workzone: Online Project Management Software and Health Force, a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills (alignment, follow through and follow-up

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines with professionalism and precision

  • Experience in developing administrative controls and process improvements

  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to self-manage time and priorities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Adobe CS5 or CS6 (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

  • Proficient use of Mac platform, Acrobat, and MS Office Products, especially PowerPoint

  • Expert knowledge of concept development, layout, typography, color, and branding with a strong eye for both detail and design

  • Experience in maintaining consistent brand identities across all media

  • Knowledge of production techniques including printing, paper and materials

  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects proactively and meet deadlines

  • Consistently demonstrates a high level of customer satisfaction for internal and external stakeholders

  • Demonstrates excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills

  • Experience managing a creative team
