Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Electronics Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.
The selected candidate will support the design, development, integration, test, and analysis of Special Signals and advanced RF systems. They are expected to be highly-motivated. Specific tasks performed in this role are supporting trade studies on back-end RF processors and antennas, requirements review/flow-down, system integration, test plan development, and test execution of a Special Signals system throughout the entire development, demonstration, and production phases.

Experience with or knowledge of Special Signals Systems or related processors and cards, software defined radios, phased array concepts, array calibration, and beam steering concepts is a plus.
A familiarity with the definition, design, integration, test and certification (end-to-end development) and operation of electronic systems is preferred.
Hands on testing experience of electronic systems is a plus.
Learn and understand all system requirements and participate in all related design reviews.
The position requires communication, presentation, and people skills.

Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university.
Must have at least 2 years of Engineering experience or 0 years of experience and a Master’s Degree in STEM related field
The successful candidate must possess knowledge of Radio Frequency and Electrical Engineering concepts, such as waveforms, space loss, system noise, antenna fundamentals and equations, digital filtering, and circuit design.
An active in-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance
Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
Active, In scope DoD Top Secret or SCI clearance
Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Microsoft Office, and technical writing skills will also be preferred.
