Associate Director of Product Marketing

Essential Job Duties:

  • Lead and implement strategic marketing goals for targeting, positioning, messaging and go-to-market strategies

  • Tailor strategies to key business objectives to generate market demand and provide optimal marketing support to student enrollment and advising

  • Manage marketing programs that include defining target audiences, product positioning and requirements, points of differentiation and messaging.

  • Direct the creation of content needed at various sales stages of the student lifecycle including: demand generation, enrollment, student communication, and retention.

  • Collaborate in the development of marketing plans and execute the digital, content and traditional marketing tactics.

Additional Job Duties (include but are not limited to):

  • Ensure all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources.

  • Oversee market research that includes, consumer behavior, competitor, and industry trends.

  • Manage the development of student personas to help organization understand the students' needs, motivations and desired outcomes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Marketing-related experience in CPG, financial services or hospitality experience

  • 6-8 years marketing-related experience (product marketing, field marketing, marketing communications).

  • Proven ability to craft, execute, track and report on integrated marketing plans and tactics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some experience in content and digital marketing tactics

  • Strong verbal, written, presentation and organizational skills.

  • Experience and track record of success within large, complex organizations


  • BS/BA Degree required -- in marketing or equivalent, MBA a plus

Education Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee requires dexterity in using telephone, computer keyboard, mouse and calculator while seated at a desk. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The employee may frequently move to interact with fellow employees and/or clients. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Communication Skills: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. The employee requires the ability to write effective and detailed correspondence and to effectively present information both in one-on-one and small group situations.

Mental Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to deal with stress associated with a fast-paced work environment and multiple priorities/tasks. The employee will be required to make judgment decisions and adapt to changing work situations, grasp and apply new ideas, communicate with various personalities at all levels and have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to work in an office environment, and the noise level is usually moderate to loud.
