DESCRIPTION

The Project and Leadership Relationship Analyst, under general direction from the Director, Leadership Strategy and Engagement, is responsible for providing high-level analytic, project management related to the engagement of the top tier volunteer leadership for The Campaign for UC San Diego. Coordinates, analyzes and manages multiple, complex, highly sensitive and confidential projects requiring coordination with LSE leadership and working closely with colleagues Advancement-wide to ensure effective and efficient strategic planning, execution and evaluation on a wide variety of initiatives.

Works in a consultative manner to provide complex analysis to understand LSE’s programmatic and project management needs, recommend, create and implement process-related or strategic improvements and ultimately partner with LSE leadership to deliver solutions that drive desired outcomes. The position will act as a liaison to subject matter experts, key stakeholders and development and technical leads within Advancement as well as to units outside of Advancement to ensure effective procedures and processes are in place to support LSE’s mission and the execution of annual strategic plans.

As assigned, oversees special projects/events related to the planning and execution of the engagement of highest-level volunteer leadership and donors to increase philanthropic support for the campus and the $2 billion Campaign for UC San Diego, and other strategic campus-wide campaign initiatives.

  • Must have access to reliable transportation.

  • Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.

  • Analytical / problem-solving skills.

  • Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses.

  • Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.

  • Strong policy analysis techniques.

  • Demonstrated ability to assess procedures and define requirements to streamline business process and result in productivity improvement.

  • Skilled at developing, writing and implementing operational and procedural and administrative policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information, situations, problems, policies and procedures; ask critical questions to gather all required information; separate problems from symptoms; identify potential solutions; apply solutions and formulate logical and objective conclusions from data and observations; communicate conclusions to a variety of personnel at various levels.

  • Expert level of experience using MS Office applications, such as Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to learn new and upgraded software and apply skills to current workload/project work.

  • Proven strong political acumen skills and ability to apply in diverse, complex organization and with highest levels of confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to perform duties with high degree of professionalism.

  • Ability to work as part of team and build consensus and collaboration, with service oriented attitude and actions.

  • Demonstrated outstanding ability to partner with diverse staff and administrators across the university to achieve project/program objectives through consensus and shared ownership of outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to move quickly from an idea or concept to a completed project.
