Attractions Assistant Supervisor
Description Position Summary:
This person manages the daily operation of an assigned attraction area and staff. In addition, this person supervises, monitors, and evaluates the work performance of the Team Leads. This person will also be working closely with other areas of Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Human Resources, and Marketing all the while ensuring that LEGOLAND California’s overall presentation is to the highest quality standards in the industry. Lastly, this person participates in the Attractions Duty Manager coverage, controls daily labor budgets and implements and monitors training programs in compliance with the ride competency safety policy. The Supervisor is accountable for area recruitment, scheduling payroll, development, KPIs and ride throughput.
Scope & Responsibilities:
Ensures that all rides in their area are safely operated at maximum capacity while ensuring that a high level of quality is maintained at all times throughout each guest experience.
Leads by example to ensure MCs meet or exceed the Guest Service Core standards. Performs necessary follow-up for MCs who are not demonstrating the Guest Service Core.
Ensures that Department Standards (safety, service, cleanliness, efficiency, wardrobe, etc.) are maintained through MC monitoring, auditing, training and recertification.
Trained and certified to operate all attractions in their designated section of the Park. Enforces safety procedures and standards in the Attractions Standard Operating Procedures manuals (SOPs).
Audits, recognizes and coaches MCs and Team Leads as needed to ensure Purpose and Role are fulfilled consistently.
Oversees daily operation of specified section of the Park. Ensures rides and attractions are prepared for opening by Team Leads by competing Maintenance to Operations hand-over process, ensuring proper cleanliness and staffing levels, overseeing completion of opening safety checklists, and completing prompt review and sign-off of opening safety checklists.
Utilizes the Jolt online system to effectively complete all training records in compliance with department policies.
Ensures that each DOSH regulated attraction is audited a minimum of once per operating day.
Partners with the Attractions Supervisor to ensure the daily operation of an area of the park.
Oversees performance reviews of all staff.
Monitors and enforces all standards established in the Ride Safety Competency Policy.
Participates multiple times a week in the Attractions Duty Manager program. Background & Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years of theme park or related customer service experience is required.
A minimum of one (1) years of supervisory experience is required. Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to execute multiple tasks are required.
Self-motivated and demonstrated initiative.
Strong problem solving skills and experience in budget control is required.
Effective leadership, staff development, organizational, verbal and written skills.
Requires a commitment to excellence in customer service.
Strong guest service and interpersonal skills are required.
Computer skills (Word, Excel, e-mail, Power Point) are required.
Minimum high school diploma.
